Edward deals with the aftermath of a situation where he was unable to protect Bella.  She's a magnet for trouble and he's her guardian vampire.  What happens when the world's perfect vampire boyfriend suddenly doesn't know how to deal?

This is for people like me who love angst.

He stopped in the middle of the woods.  The man could scream for hours and no one would hear.  And after Edward was done with him, if anyone found the man’s remains, what Edward left behind, no one would ever think it was anything but an animal that lost a fight with a bigger animal.  Edward smiled at the thought.  It wasn’t a true smile, like the ones he saved for Bella.  No, this was the smile of madman.  For tonight, Edward was the animal.

Sometimes love is like a yo-yo, up and down, back and forth…but in the end, it always returns.

There was nothing special about my childhood.  I was an average girl with average divorced parents.  I was a mediocre student with perfectly average mediocre dreams.

At least until I met a vampire named Edward. It was so easy to fall in love with Edward Cullen.  I was seventeen and inexperienced.  He was 108 and equally inexperienced.  The passion fueled between us was incredibly intense and for six glorious months, I believed that my life was anything BUT average.

It wasn’t until the most perfect being in existence left me that I realized that I would always be average and my life would always be mediocre at best.

Set during New Moon, during Edward's time away, this is what possibly could have happened if Bella had chosen a slightly more dangerous path.  It continues with Ms. Meyers theme of Bella chasing her hallucinations in an effort to be less of a zombie.
